Hello, I was a member at this WeWork location for over a year and it has exceeded all of my expectations, worth every single penny (I was in the dedicated desk space)… Here’s why:
First, the WeWork model in general is brilliant because it offers an immediate network of individuals and startups who are working on tough problems similar to you. If you’re running into an obstacle, it’s likely someone else near you has as well. I met 6 other businesses in the WeWork network in Philadelphia who I now do business with! They all bring something different to the table and it’s been great camaraderie working on our projects together. It attracts businesses of every kind, hedge funds, high tech AI startups, nutritional supplements, content creators, etc.
WeWork Walnut street was especially helpful because the staff there is awesome. Erica, Monique, Jordan, Daisha, and Taylor! I always get a happy hello and welcome from them when I walk in and they help distract me from the grind.
This team is dedicated to making your business and events run smoothly or connect you/someone else to your business. I’ve had multiple emails from Erica sharing my skills with someone and getting business from that interaction.
The building, bathrooms, and public spaces are kept extremely clean and are cleaned three times a day! There are multiple networking events every week and plenty of food to keep you fed throughout the week.
The rooftop on this building is freaking sweet, it has two hammocks, plenty of seating, and the wifi works up there. It’s an amazing view of the city, especially because this location is squarely in center city. Plus the internet speed is the fastest I’ve ever seen 1gb up/1 gb down. Super helpful!!
Lastly, I’m taking friendships and connections away with me as I leave and move into a bigger studio space. I have new friends, new business partners, and new networks to tap into in philadelphia. If you’re new to a city or are looking to find work, I would definitely consider joining a wework because there are plenty of opportunities to find and build from.
Big shout out to the staff there, I’d recommend you guys to anyone! Love, Stephen
